Lady Cultura was born on the 4th of July in Miami, Florida to New York-Cuban parents. She moved from Miami to Los Angles in 1999 when her mother, (Eva Tamargo) landed a role on the hit NBC soap opera, "Passions". Since moving to LA Cultura has followed in her mothers footsteps and taken a big liking to anything art related.
Cultura graduated from CHAMPS Charter High School in 2009 as a Dance/Acting Major where she trained in all forms of classical and contemporary dance (Ballet, Modern, Tap, Jazz, and Swing). She joined a theatre group, "diG" (Drama Intensive Group) that premiered it's first production off-Broadway in 2008. Since then she has done several productions with the company including starring in the play production of SPRING AWAKENING.
In 2010 Cultura traveled throughout South East Asia choreographing and acting in NYU students films. In that same year she began her music career where she performed her music in Portland, Los Angeles, China, and Spain. Her music is a mixture of Reggaeton and House.
During her years after high school she infrequently would take hip hop classes at her local dance studios but it wasn't until 2012/2013 when she spent a full 12 months training under Kumari Suraj in Waacking, House, Hip Hop, and South/West African. She is now Kumari's first and only teaching/choreography assistant. She is also the newest member of THE WAACKERS. Since training with Kumari she has also competed in several battles. She won the Deep World Tour 2vs2 All-Styles freestyle battle twice in a row and made it to the semi-finals in London's "Waack Date".
In 2012 Cultura wrote, directed, and starred in, BIGOTE which was loosely based off of her life growing up as a lesbian with a Catholic mother. Her cast included, Eva Tamargo (NBC), Chelsea Tavares (Nickelodeon, ABC), Raven Goodwin (MTV, Disney Channel), and Kumari Suraj (SYTYCD).
In 2013 she picked up videography as a side hobby where she shot and edited several videos for choreographers and dancers such as, Hollywood, Dalphe Moranus (Mr. International), Lashaun Price, Kumari Suraj, and several more.
Since January 2014 she has toured teaching dance in China, Hong Kong, London, Scotland, and Spain. She currently lives in Los Angeles pursuing all of her trades: music, dance, theatre, and film/tv.
